As far as prices...for the space it's in they're not over-the-top. Prices are important but not the only value we get from our co-op. For every $1 spent, 45 cents stays local. In addition, it's involved in food equity & antiracism work, things you won't find at (fill in the blank) grocery store.
Our local co-op rocks!!! It's the ONLY grocery cooperative we have in the city.
As a co-op it's the only community owned grocery in Kalamazoo with over 3000 members, and they actually care about the shoppers, the farmers, and the neighborhoods they serve. I love my co-op!
We love the co-op, and have loved watching it grow. We feel thankful especially for their local products and wide range of bulk, as well as the excellent staff.
Best grocery store in town! Top notch deli and hot food bar, and they've got deli deals like $5 dinners on Wednesdays. Plus there's no contest that the co-op has the freshest produce and the most local products out of any store in town.
My personal journey to become a more conscious consumer started with PFC! I support PFC as an owner and a member of the Board of Directors because I care about my health and my families health. I care about my community and the world. How is PFC changing the world? By providing consumers with ethically sourced goods that take the entire cost of production into consideration. Certified Humane, Fair Trade, Organic, etc. These are labels one will see on many products in PFC. I’m proud of the contribution PFC is making to create access for all to food that is healthy for people, land, and the economy. I love PFC!!
My favorite grocery store! I love the friendly staff and fellow shoppers. It's the best place in town to find locally grown produce and other locally produced items. I love spending my money at a place owned by over 3000 fellow community members, and appreciate all the ways PFC gives back to our community.
