The city of Kalamazoo apparently has no ordinance about clearing sidewalks of snow. I am visiting in town and take a walk each day. The town itself is nice but the sidewalks are treacherous thanks to not being cleared of snow. I walked around the perimeter of Mountain Home cemetery and along West Main Street I had to walk in the road because not only was there snow, there was a lot of frozen mud piles on the sidewalk. Walking in the road on West Main Street is downright dangerous! This is not a walker friendly city, at least in the winter.
