I have been under the care of Doctor Dandois at this facility for years. I have been consistently treated well. I find the facility to be older but clean and comfortable. I have never been treated poorly. I have nothing but high praise for the staff at Westside medical center and Dr. Dandois. I have read the other evaluations. It seems to me the people that complain fill out evaluations and the happy people fail to.
I had a very poor experience today. I had the first appointment of the day. I showed up 10 minutes early. i was quickly placed into a room with the nurse. She went over some test results. I then spent 35 minutes waiting for the doctor to come in. After being onsite for over an hour, i just left. The doctor was outside the door. I told him his time is obviously more important than mine and went on my way. I understand that they have a desired talent and my business going elsewhere will not hurt them. If they can not handle all the patients that they schedule, then they shouldn't be serving that many people. I have to schedule appointments everyday with customers. the difference is that i am seeking their business and the doctor is allowing us to see them. i don't want an excuse. I just want to be treated like they would want to be treated and not laugh at the whole stereotype.
Five stars for the medical care and phone answering supervisor Vickie! I just called today and asked for my doctor's voicemail. (Usually I leave a message and just wait when it's not urgent and it wasn't at all.) I got a phone operator who was extremely rude and giving me a hassle about it and just basically wanting me off the phone so I could speak to a phone nurse (I didn't need a phone nurse, it wasn't urgent.) She told me that I'd have to call back and that she wouldn't do anything for me. I hung up and called back requested the supervisor who made everything right! I have dealt with this problem before and spoke with a supervisor who fixed it seems like the supervisors know exactly what to do unlike the operators. They need some major attitude adjustments and training. I am grateful though for Vickie who attended to me and helped me with my concerns! Thank you Vickie at Borgess Westside for helping me!
Although the urgent Care may take 2 hours to get in a room when it seems like you are the only one in the waiting room the staff here is phenomenal.
Beautiful live tree in lobby, my doctor always is respectful and honest, nurses are amazing I have ptsd , down to earth visited urgent care when I cut half my finger doctor did amazing job sowing it up I was really scared, not er but from room I was in I'm guessing they can give fluids which is wat I need to stop vomiting preventive measures have kept me out er for migraines and out of that room so unsure, I would highly recommend them,
This is the only true private independent practice in the Kalamazoo area and it shows. No shoving patients into particular hospitals or specialists because of affiliations. They truly care about you and getting you the best care possible. I've been a patient here for over 10 years and will continue to be as long as the standards of care stay where they are or better. Generally I don't trust doctors, that being said I am comfortable with most at this practice and truly my normal doctor (Dr. Hodges) is the only one I trust with my complete care.
