Contacted Sherriff-Goslin in Kalamazoo worried that I had a leak in my roof. They were great about setting the appointment based on my availability. Mike showed up at the house right on time and got right to work assessing what the problem was, which he discovered in no time. He explained the problem to me and gave me some great tips on roof care and how to know when it’s getting time to replace the roof. He didn’t try to sell me anything, which was greatly appreciated. Instead, he let me know that I had years until I needed to consider a new roof. Because of the outstanding service that was provided and the genuine care that was shown, when the time comes for a new roof, it will definitely be Sherriff-Goslin of Kalamazoo that I call. I was extremely satisfied with the level of service I received. They were able to get someone out to me very quickly, and both Jeff and Mike were honest, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.
I woke up Wednesday morning during the rain storm to find that my roof was leaking above our TV. I hadn't had to work with a local roofing contractor before, so I went online and found Sherriff Goslin Roofing. I gave them a call and they sent Jeff out the next day to see what he could find. Jeff was able to find some suspect areas and make some minor repairs. The next day, Jeff and Mike came back to continue investigating, water test, and made a couple of additional repairs.
We had Mike Woodhouse come and give us an estimate for some work on our house. We were in a time crunch due to selling our home. Mike went above and beyond to get out to our house to make sure we had the information we needed to make an educated decision about work to be completed to sell our home. He did not over sell, in fact he told us the work that we had done to patch a leak was exactly what he would have done and didn't think it needed further work. Overall I would highly recommend this company and ask for Mike if you want an honest, all around good guy to come give you an estimate!
These things make the biggest impact, I feel, when a company goes out of its way to help a customer. Plenty of companies like to nickel and dime their customers for every little thing. Thanks Mike for being super helpful!
I am very pleased and have great first impressions with Sherriff-Goslin. Mike Woodhouse came out for an estimate and was exceptionally honest and even helped clear some standing water in the gutters when he checked on my roof. He gave me some info for someone who could help me take care of that. Oh and I don't want to forget that he both noticed and tried to fix a dent that was on my garage gutter/roof. I knew about that when I moved in and honestly got used to it (it's stubborn so I'll have to address it later), so I was super surprised he mentioned it!
My roof issue was not a big deal so he applied some caulk as he was up there looking at it and was on his way. He was straightforward and said that my roof was in excellent shape for its age, but I have his card and when it comes time for replacement I know who I will call! :)
