Excellent nature center with surprisingly extensive hiking trails despite be located close to the City of Kalamazoo and not on public lands. The Kalamazoo river is particularly nice. Great spot for kids especially.
Excellent place for hiking or taking classes. Plus they put on many special events throughout the year if you live in the area a membership is well worth the money. Additionally its a great place to take kids to help them understand and appreciate nature.
Great place near Kalamazoo to go hiking and feel far removed from civilization.
Great nature sitting. Walking trails and kids camps"daytime ".
Very amazing place to visit. The trails and picnic areas are very well kept. I've been coming here for many years and I don't plan to stop. The butterfly thing is super cool. The bug exhibits are very educational. The animals are great. The staff is always helpful. I came here for school field trips when I was am elementary school goer. We removed invasive plants and got to learn so many things. The summer programs here are so amazing. The homestead is so cool, there is so much to learn there. The streams are super nice, sometimes there are water snakes. I liked to pick a leaf of jewel-weed when I was a kid and put it in the water to see the silver glare. I would absolutely recommend this place to absolutely anybody.
